1. Overview
Notetime allows users to take and organize timestamped notes directly in their browser. The service is primarily local-first, meaning all notes are stored in your browser's local storage unless you opt into backup features.
2. User Accounts
- Creating an account is optional.
- No account is required to use the core functionality of Notetime.
- If you choose to use backup features, you will be required to create an account using email or third-party authentication via Supabase.
3. Data Storage & Backups
- By default, your notes are stored locally in your browser.
- If you clear your browser cache or storage, your data will be permanently deleted unless you've enabled backups.
- Users who opt into backup features agree to have their note data securely stored on our servers via Supabase.
4. Data Privacy
- We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) unless you voluntarily create an account for backup.
- We collect aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the app using third-party services such as Mixpanel and Highlight.io.

5. Third-Party Services
Notetime uses the following services:
- Supabase for authentication and cloud backups
- Mixpanel and Highlight.io for usage analytics
By using Notetime, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers.
6. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. While the core experience is currently free, we may introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to backup features or accounts if you violate these Terms or abuse the service.
8. Disclaimer
Notetime is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While we strive for a reliable experience, we are not responsible for data loss, whether from browser storage, network issues, or service outages.
